My Easy Peasy Birthday Display

Hey everyone - thanks for stopping by! I haven't posted in a while...setting up my classroom has taken over my life recently. I will do a full classroom reveal another day, but for now I just wanted to share my cute new birthday display.

So, for the past couple of years I've despised my birthday display. Last school year I completely redesigned my room...all my posters and displays were brand new. I worked ALL summer making new stuff for my walls. I never got around to a birthday display because by the end of the summer, I was burnt out and had no cute ideas. For the life of me, I couldn't come up with a cute way to display birthdays.

This summer I didn't have as much creating to do and I was a bit more relaxed. Then my creative juices started flowing and it hit me! Boom! I had an idea for my birthday display! I wanted the design to be "new student friendly"...so that when I get a new student, it will be easy for me to add her/him to the display. So, I used clothespins. I use clothespins for SO many things in my classroom....{which I would be glad to share another day}. This way it is easy to take down or add more students....and next year all I will have to do is make new name labels. Yay!

Anyway....The first step is of course printing, laminating, and cutting out the pieces of the display.

Then, hot glue a strip of ribbon to the back of the month headers....I kind of just cut a long piece and trimmed it when I hung the display and figured out exactly how much space I had.

Then, I hot glued the name labels onto clothespins.

Finally, I hung the display in my designated area. I just taped the pieces of the banner to the cabinet to make a banner illusion, but you could also use tulle or ribbon to make an actual banner...haha!

This is available in my TPT store - you can check it out here. It's an editable file so you can add your students names easily! I also have plans to make it in other themes as well....I have already gotten so many compliments on how nice it looks - which of course makes my little creative heart happy! :)

Thanks again for stopping by! I wish you all a happy school year :)
